Yea, getting his current employees to move from the state with the highest tax rate in the nation to one with zero tax rate could be a struggle. BTW that's in excess of 13% more money in the employees pocket every payday.

@tomsimpson5317 Over 30 years ago. But adjusting for inflation, $1000 should still get you going. Additionally once you get of of Kalifornia, fuel prices drop more than $2 a gallon so you can go a lot further on less.

@Me97202 Well let's see, Kalifornia has the HIGHEST TAX RATE in the NATION at 13.3%. Texas on the other hand has a State Tax Rate of-------ZERO!!

@dustincaso6781 EXACTLY. If an employee chose to stay in a state with the highest state income tax rate in the nation when they could move to a state with zero tax rate and keep their same job and same pay, I wouldn't want them to work for me as they are obviously incapable of doing any math.

@tomsimpson5317 I left with a Nissan Pick-up and $300 in my pocket. It doesn't take much to move especially with today's job market. Pick where you want to go, get there and don't be real picky and you will have a job in one day. What you will save in taxes leaving Kalifornia will pay for your move in less than a year.
