  11.  @phillippalmejar9548  Cite a source for that please. It' costs $100,000/ a year on average to keep someone in a high security housing unit (necessary for someone serving a Life Sentence). If that person is arrested at 25 years old and lives to 75 years old (happens all the time) it will cost the state in excess of 5 million dollars plus any medical care they must provide. Are you telling me that it costs Texas over 5 million for every execution they do? Additionally many prisoners serving Life Sentences commit other violent crimes (yes including murder) while they are incarcerated. So when they do murder someone and the Death Penalty is not an option, what is your suggestion, we give them a second Life Sentence? Aren't the other Inmates and the Staff who work in these Correctional Facilities entitled to the same safety the rest of the public is?
