  5.  @B_B_B_  Different Scenario entirely. When you are at WAR with another country that possesses Nuclear Weapons and then you suddenly acquire them, what will they think? You don't know. If they consider that a threat they may very well launch a preemptive strike. And as far as I am aware Russia has not threatened to use their Nuclear Weapons against Ukraine. But if they believed that Ukraine was about to get Nuclear Weapons they may decide to use them or at the minimum issue a Launch On Warning. Then all it takes is one misunderstanding and you have Armageddon.
