Andrew Lee I am not saying it is right or wrong. Sometimes, fancy restaurants had to justify their prices by putting the finest ingredients to the discern tastes of their best clients who can afford the princely sum. Lots of wealthy business people like Li Ka Shing and others going to restaurant like these to treat their guests. It is also important for them to 'show their faces'. Just like those expats eating at Furama or Peninsula Hotel for their prestige and class. Something that normal folks wouldn't ever dared to be close to the places. Other than that, Lung King Heen is pretty traditional in many ways. Say for example, their crispy fried chicken is done in the authentic Cantonese way which needed to be pre-ordered. From start to finish, the whole dish takes at least 5 hours to be prepared. So when they charged about $850 HKD for the dish. Yes, it is extremely pricey but you are paying for what you get.

Of course they have 3 Michelin Stars. It is the 'priciest' restaurant in Hong Kong for Cantonese food.
