Merging the oligopoly into a monopoly is essentially centralization, which meant that the reversion to a State-Owned Enterprise as a double-meaning. In other words, CCP is turning themselves inwards back to a self-sustaining economic base. Now hoping that the BRI would be able to use those colonies both for external natural resources, plus the markets to sell their products. With the Western countries now leaving and the potential of boycotting due to the PRC's support to the Russia's invasion of Ukraine, plus their backing of the terrorists regime in Afghanistan, Military Junta in Myanmar, plus Venezuela's Dictator in Maduro.
This is clear for the PRC trying to develop advanced chip technologies and other know-how in-house. Whether how successful they would be without any creative thinking due to brainwashing of minds, leading to constant theft and buying existing companies to reverse engineering or copying them, while the brains behind those companies being bought, can still something else extraordinary at their new ventures. At this rate, the PRC would be constantly catching up and that will not be the way for Chairman Xi to get ahead as the Number 1 World Economic Power on 10/01/2049 to usurp the US.
