  2. Nonsense. About 2300 years ago, the Greeks figured out the earth was kind of spherical. The ancients even managed to get a close estimate of size of this sphere. How does he not know that?

  4. It's bizarre. When I first came across pomo, 4 decades ago: on the Left - all the pomos were jubilantly anti-Marxist, and anti-Utopian. The non-pomos were, instead, often into "Critical Theory", which although suspicious of practical Marxism, still aspired to some kind of Utopianism, and respect for Marx. But anti-Utopianism and Leftwing thinking are kind of incompatible - like water and oil. So a group of Leftists created a paradoxical fusion of Critical Theory with Postmodernism - just over 3 decades ago. They did this slyly by creating: Postcolonialism and Intersectionality. This fusion of incompatible ideas only works by them avoiding debate. This explains their love of safe spaces, no-platforming and non-debate.

  5.  @my-spinning-wheel  Doesn't matter what postmodernism "would say" about bridges. Can any postmodernist build a bridge without it quickly falling down? So we can't "still dance together" unless we can get from one side of the river to the other side.
