  1. Woke originates in Rousseau? I can't see it. Why not just blame woke on the '60s? I think woke is a shotgun marriage of postmodernism and Kant. More correctly neo-Kantianisms like Rawls. Post-modernism destroyed the foundations of Western reason; and taught that the West was evil, and that the 'other' was sacred. Neo-Kantianism came along with new value systems. As likely as not: woke didn't need neo-Kantianism; Kant would've been sufficient. I'm looking at Feminism, and the Green movement too through the refraction of neo-Kantianism; they are both value systems. Much of their value systems end up pretty arbitrary. This is a characteristic of Kant - like it or not. I guess Starkey can square the circle by blaming postmodernism on Rousseau!
