  1. I didn't "grow to resent" legacy media. Legacy media transmuted itself into a propaganda machine which resents me. My values didn't really change. Legacy media changed.

  2. Calling outsiders "Nazi" is a bit like early Islam calling unebelievers: apostates, polytheists, ... It works to force your supporters into line; especially when there are well advertised penalties for unbelievers. It happens that way because that's how societies evolve or form. Social mechanisms tend to force us into tribes. We have innate weaknesses to join these unthinking tribes, religions and ideological machines. Andy West's "The Grip of Culture" documents the creation & features of these tribe/pseudo-religion(s).

  6. From the left - all men are regarded as "right wing" unless they can be categorized as some victim group. For example had Joe been black, gay, Muslim, trans, blah, he'd be classed by them as "left wing".

  10. Debate, rationality, objectivity - are patterns of behaviour one learns by practicing. Given the Left have been trashing debate, rationality, objectivity for decades they no longer have the skills to behave. It took about 3 decades for them to go insane. It will take the Left at least another 3 decades to learn that debate, rationality, objectivity are good things and not "Western imperialism"

  11. There were few alternatives back then. OK, one could find the truth out but it took a lot of investigation on one's part. One often needed some skill in forming search engine queries. Today I can just listen to a podcast; back then I couldn't.

  12.  @ChristMerch  40 - 50 years ago they - the media - believed in objective truth. They admitted they were biased but believed they could overcome, or mitigate bias by aiming toward objective truth. Then the Left were colonized by Postmodernism. Belief in objective truth vanished and the Left became mindless partizans for propaganda. I know, because I watched it happen.
