  1. To summarize: Factors which allow one popultation to take over can be: martial, genetic, memetic, technological, cultural, mobility. Did I miss any? These factors can weave into each other. I'm leaving cultural and memetic as 2 separate things. An example of a memetic driver for population expanse could be Islam. But an example of a cultural driver can be population collapse due to low population replacement rates we see in technologically advanced societies today. Factors can be pro- or anti- population expansion. Each group is subject to different mixtures of factors. At key stages one factor or a combo become decisive.
