Pure psychopaths are limited in the damage they can commit; because we can track them due to the damage they do, often to themselves (as well). It's the dark triad types I worry about. The dark triad is a combination of 3 anti-social traits: - Machiavellianism, - sub-clinical psychopathy, - and sub-clinical narcissism. Sub-clinical = can not be diagnosed as such (as a psychopath or narcissist) by a psychological test. For example, their narcissism is often covert. Their psychopathy does not violently damage people they come into contact with. These dark triad types can, and do, rise to positions of power and influence.
