  1. The Addams Family was created by American cartoonist Charles Addams. Originally as 150 single-panel comics, about half published in The New Yorker over a 50-year period from their inception in 1938. Family members were unnamed until the 1964 TV series. The TV series was a kids comedy series. So Jenna Ortega was wrong. Having said that, I actually prefered Ortega's take on it.
