I don't personally don't mind changes to the lore by writers. It's their bad changes and bad writing I can't stand. 2nd point: they should also add to the original, not subtract. Subtractive, incompetent storytelling - is obviously going to be bad. Production houses pick up on stories because the stories worked. Why are producers picking writers, with their own "vision", who hate stories which worked?
