  5.  @achaeanmapping4408  Tendentious. 1. You haven't defined "progressivism". 2. Nor liberalism 3. Easy to dis liberalism - provided you can set the definitions of what you think it is. 4. Original 17th and 18th century liberalisms were attempts to limit state power. Quite successful. Still here 200+ years later. 5. What's your plan to limit state power once you've done away with "liberalism", human rights, fair trials, ...? 6. With all the kids trying to burn down Western culture, responsible people should push back against cheap criticism of a liberalism which they imagine.

  6.  @achaeanmapping4408  Liberalism was more of a practical, than philosophical project when it began. Back then, rights to free speech, vote, fair trial did not exist. You could say: "That was then, now we have those things". To which I'd reply: "that didn't stop the Nazis taking them away".
