  1. Tom is one of a tiny minority of Leftists I can take seriously. He's one of the few I don't think are just lying outrageously at me. I see him as lying accidentally - due to misconceptions. Probably because he's not immediately identifiable as a intersectionalist, postcolonialist, gender warrior, feminist, nor critical race theorist. Tom sounds like a Marxist. I'll give you all a clue about what the culture wars are mostly about and where they come from: intersectionality, postcolonialism, identitarianism, gender bender theory, feminism, critical race theory. Q: What do these 6 counter cultures have in common? A: postmodernism, and epistemic relativism: AKA: "my truth" versus "your truth". LOL: The left sound funny, if not cynical, when invoking free-speech as part of their "culture war" progressivism. The inventers and promoters of "repressive tolerance", "safe spaces" and "no-platforming" reanimating the zombie corpse of free-speech they spent the last 4 decades murdering. Tom does it without the slightest trace of irony; yet full of disdain. Is Tom's zombie obeying orders today?

  2. So Tom Nicholas admits there are "culture wars"? Does that make Tom a "right winger", Trumpist, or Fascist? I was under the impression the Left has denounced the very concept of culture war. I've already listened to Tom's culture war offensive against Jordan Peterson here on YouTube. Is this video Tom's culture war against the culture war?

  3.  @stinkoshatter-shield2096  Debates about transing kids are "inconsequential"? In the past 10 years we've witnessed an epidemic of rapid onset gender dyphoria. It could only have happens via the Internet through social contagion. It not just Christians who consider combatting ROGD a "priority issue". This atheist here does too. BTW: once a person undergoes medical sex transition s/he commits to medicalization for life. Testosterone administered to females will cause hair loss, voice deepening, and significantly increases risks of cancer. The outrage here is genuine.

  4.  @dhayes907  But Tom would likely say that most of the left isn't Left. In my experience, socialism is always a competition for a purer pure-land. Never getting there; because there's no pure land to be had.
