So, what the Russians have been getting from oil and gas does not "trickle down." The rising tide from the high oil prices is not lifting the average Russian's boat. Apparently, economics works normally in Russia.

Why do they have the inflation? They make the cheese there. They produce the meat there. It's Russian milk from Russian cows on Russian pastures. I can't imagine "their" gas going up in price. I don't think folks in Russia got raises. What caused the price hikes? As far as selling potato chips, I think the war is being financed by natural gas and oil sales. and not junk food. Jake asks "How can the employees of Proctor and Gamble continue to sell in Russia?" Many of us realize that most employees in America are "at will" employees. So, if I was working at P&G I would ask myself, "Self, do you want to keep your job?" Choose your battles carefully. Good Video.

@сырпошехонский I'm not sure if the money supply would be growing among the Russian populace. With folks being laid off, how does the money get from the people in charge to those who could spend it on milk? Even before the Ukraine war, the money was hoarded by the Oligarchy. Hell, they do the same thing in the US and almost any country with an economic tiered system. As for dairy, I found this: "As such, Russia is now 82% self-sufficient in milk. It relies on imports to fill the remaining 18% of domestic demand, but imports of milk have dropped 20% since the implementation of Russia’s ban on EU/US dairy goods in 2014." They may import near St Petersburg, as that is fairly close to Europe, but that is one big country and it would soon cost a lot to be shipping milk, even the powdered milk I grew up on.
