@joeyjojojunior1794 Unless you are a libertarian, I suggest the local library. Often libraries are parts of chains and you can request that book. (Libertarians do not like such socialistic endeavors.)

@batonnetdecannelle All things do not repeat exactly. How long did it take the originators to build a car in the late 1800s? I'll bet it was a long time. Providing supplies are available, how long does it take a car manufacturer to build a car today? The first of anything takes a long time. After that the next units go more quickly. And,......the Chinese built their EPR reactors much more quickly than the Europeans. There are also other reactors on the drawing boards that can be constructed much more quickly.

@bigbubba4314 You bet - We need an honest non-neo liberal type. Someone who is willing to try new things to actually help the populace of the country. I'm hoping is will be someone who will renew the social compact so that people will know they will have affordable health care, affordable education for the young, a guarantee of a dignified life in old age, someone who actually believes the global warming thing and will do something about it, someone who does not cut back on necessary regulations that protect the health and safety of the public, someone who believes in equitable taxation so the country can pay it's bills, someone who actually will bring those jobs home like Peter says will happen for full emploment, someone who actually can work across the aisle when possible yet knows when this is unrealistic, someone who does not ignore racism, someone who can solve the problems of the many shootings, someone who is not beholden to rich special interests and so forth. Is Jesus around to run?

@batonnetdecannelle Nuclear reactors produce heat. It can be used for electricity or anything that you want. In fact you can produce other fuels with it.

@batonnetdecannelle Sorry - I wasn't thinking of waste heat. I was thinking of the main reactor's heat. Newer reactors on the drawing boards will run hotter and be more efficient. Certainly, better use could be made of the waste heat. All thermal power plants will have waste heat whether coal, gas or nuclear. The Rankine thermodynamic cycles and Brayton cycles are just part of nature. Reactors can be used for "process" heat for many industrial processes or to heat water to pump to houses to keep them warm. Actually, bodies of water where the power plants dump waste heat usually mean good places for fishing.
