  1. It seems like when you look back at history, the Germans have been pretty smart people. All these diesel trucks rolling around and pushing trains are a result of them. In fact, they are so smart that they will continue a trend of history. They will figure out how to do more with less. More production with less energy. More production with less people. The world is increasingly automating. Even Aldis has less cashiers. New sources of energy like geothermal are peeping over the horizon. I think they will do OK.
