I liked the train behind him. Maybe the US should get some of those high speed trains like they have in other countries it could alleviate congestion at airports and freeways.

@ClownCarCoup I could definitely see it was not high speed when it was moving. What if Los Vegas had a high speed train to the Los Angeles area? It seems like there would be an increase in revenue for the city.

@ClownCarCoup That is cool. I hope they don't face the obstacles that the North South track that's being built have faced. Perhaps as this train will travel through less populated areas, NIMBY may stay home.

@moalboris239 Well - Let's not build one nobody uses. China is about the same size as the 48 contiguous United States and has a buttload of high speed rail. It's true some lines are not very economical. I think many lines could be built in the US that would have great use. It certainly seems like it would be a more efficient means of conveyance than driving hours on end. Time would be saved. A train at 200 mph is faster than a car averaging 55 mph. I also think you wouldn't be packed in like an airplane.
