  2. If those mountains could talk, they would proclaim the truth. Their existence has seen the realities of many men. I take no issue in anything that he said. Historians may find this point in history interesting. Americans were better informed of the news by the newspapers of the great depression than of today's times. He notes two problems. 1) New technologies 2) Wall Street and the obsession with cutting costs. Which reason was the predominate one for the poor news reporting of today?
