  1. The hair is gone. The background was OK. I'm not so sure I agree with Mr. Zeihan. This may be a stumbling block for the Chinese, but they can put hundreds and perhaps thousands of engineers on chip development. How it works is all written in existing literature. They have a great head start with the "dumb" chips. Certainly, it is within their means to replicate the machinery given a blueprint. They have 1.4 billion people that want to succeed in this world. They are experts at reverse engineering products and technology and I think this will turn out to be another example. Then there are spies. All Taiwanese do not hate Communist China. Spies can provide valuable information and Chinese have the money to buy the know how.
