Wow! I always liked the stories of Pirates in the Caribbean, but never thought I would live in an age where piracy will disrupt commerce. Those huge cargo ships loaded with shipping containers could represent a great amount of money. Insurance would need to be higher. Prices of imported goods would be higher. Maybe - it is time to build stuff in the Americas again.

@bobkoure I've kind of wondered why US manufacturers haven't dove right in to Central America. there are people there that would appreciate jobs that pay a living wage. Sometimes, the governments are a bit crooked.

@Bob_Adkins Typically the more Conservative party is subject to the whims of the people with power. Although they may say that they will bring jobs back to North America, their actions will often be otherwise as they serve the rich. They are not pro Union. They are not pro education. They do not believe in helping the poor and the sick. The talk of bringing jobs back in 2016 was BS to fool people into their votes.

@Bob_Adkins In the country I live in we just got rid of a top Conservative leader that has lied 30, 573 times according to the Washington Post. I'm glad the conservatives decided to hate liars. I didn't hate him. He may be going to jail soon. My grandparents were immigrants. Immigrants come into the country and work hard. They wouldn't come here if stuff was good at home. The conservatives like the immigrants. With immigrants, they can pay the rest of us less. They talk about doing stuff, but never will because they will lose money.
