  2. You should have several dream colleges such as Harvard, Yale, UC berkeley and may more. Your focus should be on a career and how to get there and not so much on a single dream college. I did no get my dream (Oxford) college but where I attended was an amazing period of my life. Make your dreams just a little more flexible. There are so many options in life.

  3. Education still costs money it is not free. Now Germany has very well structured public financing meaning people in Germany are not ripped of in the same way as the UK. And see when you graduate you will be paying extra tax for 50 years that will have paid for your education 10 times over.

  4. Lobos222 So you do not think that IBM watson or general pattern recognition with neural nets is an advancement. What the likes of Microsoft, Google, IBM and HP are working at in research in the next 15 year will blow people away.  These systems will allow all of us to have personal assistants that can see the world with us and allow us to understand everything around us hence increasing our capabilities.  You cannot blame the field of artificial intelligence for the ai of games which are really only scripted fields anyway with basic command structures that are pre-scripted.  Now what will deep learning and neural nets that will be online systems do for gaming that is what you should be asking.

  5. Analog will have its applications but that does not mean it will actually be the future of computing. Digital is an amazing mathematical system that is so simple but yet it is so far reaching.  It is on a level of comparison with the decimal system or human language.

  8. Andrew Carpenter At today's level of technology there simply is not enough copper to create the panels. Simply not possible. Clean coal combined with gas, Nuclear and renewable's can allow us to cut carbon emissions by up to 90% globally. We have to find a method to transition to Renewable's. The only other option in all of this is population control such as a cull. Do you support that method. There are very few people that do.

Humans with the aid of machine processes could actually amplify their intelligence.  Augmented reality combined artificial intelligence and pattern recognition could make every human on the planet perform like a 185 IQ.  So we could have a future where there are billions of Einsteins on the planet pointing their intelligence at everything from medicine to quantum physics.  And this would not require a human type artificial intelligence at all.  When will this happen about 2025 if you desire I could layout how the this will occur and point you to the engineering that will drive this.

  12. Education in schools is all wrong it is an outdated model of 150 years ago. There should only really be two subjects taught in high school and they should mathematics/science and communications/research methods. Every thing from engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, English lit and history should be taught from this prospective. Students in high school do not have a good foundation in mathematics. They are being taught higher form mathematics with out the basics.

  13. As a slight side slant to what you are saying. Augmented Reality (AR) will be in full swing in the 2020s to most people today they seem to think that this will just be like a mobile phone app. It will be much more than just that. It will be a merger between a IBM watson type program and Google Glass. When this happens peoples IQ or ability will increase. A high school kids performance will be that of 130 IQ Phd student all through big data and pattern recognition.

  14. I am thinking of writing a VR story my self but with out a grand save the world or getting trapped in side VR type story. Were the participants will be aware of their VR experience and their reasons for being there will be explored throughout the story I expect to have plenty of twists and turns. I am new to the skill of writing so this will be a challenge.
