  1. Believe it or not the government has no real control over this. I know scientist that have raised their own capital because government would not provide research grants on a particular cancer research yet they fund government research to study peoples attitude towards politician that is totally crazy. Citizen scientist (research this term) are doing genetic research today that took government funds 10 years ago. in 10 years most cancer research will be done by citizens and not governments.

  2. I do not even think it is necessarily the rich who start off with it. It is usually the pioneers who first operate it. Some times it is the rich. With acceleration of the growth of technology it now starting too look like the products are getting to the poor first as they are need to be produced in mass scale for profits so companies are starting to develop their strategy around mass production. I would say the rich getting the tech first is a thing of the past. Genome seq is an exception.

  3. The technology that is being used for organ replacements will also be used to create health supplements that will keep the body healthy. There is drugs being developed that will give people the benefits of exercise with any exercise. There will also be supplements that are used to protect the organs and metabolic processes. Not everybody will need these people who exercise and eat good like myself and you will need minimal help.
