  1. I also think most of this is plain old national interests at play. The whole EU better together is just a smoke screen. The reason Macron is doing what he is doing is all down to the French arms industry exerting pressure. He has an election coming up. The whole Northern Ireland protocol was about the French food industry trying to get a one up on the British food industry. The French are jealous of the British Food industry which would surprise most people.

  2.  @goenzoy  They are starting from French soil which means the French have an obligation to stop such migration. If it was just a small number of people the French could plead ignorance but the numbers are so vast that the French are obliged to stop the migration. The same would apply to the UK in reserve.

  6.  @goenzoy712  Are you claiming that the French can at a governmental level implement a system to put unqualified migrants on to British soil? What do you think the French, Italians, Spanish, Greeks and Turkish call people that bring migrants to their country on a systematic level?
