  2. It is simple the technology is not there to develop renewable. Each wind turbine requires several tons of copper and there is simply not enough copper on earth. Another conductive alloy needs to be invented to overcome the problem. Top down announcements does not produce magical engineering.

  3.  @Stand663  If there was an energy abundance they could recycle plastics. The UK could have cheap energy abundance through nuclear, clean coal and natural gas sourced locally.
