  1. The invasion is not going well for them. They are trying to perform a surgical invasion of Ukraine but they clearly do not have the military capability to perform that. Their air dominance has not ended with battle field dominance. As things stand Russia will win the war but the longer the Ukraine can hold out the more chance the west has to flood the region with cutting edge weapons that can neutralize the Russian advantage. Does Russia really want to go to war with NATO and does NATO really want to go to war with Russia.

  2. America and UK do not show total disregard they like the Russians make mistakes and hit civilians because that is the sad reality of war. Russia may have hamstrung them self by trying to be too surgical in the invasion of Ukraine because they do not have the ability of US and UK in terms of surgical strikes.

  3. Iraq was responsible for forming attacks against the US and then 911 occurred and the US just decided to deal with Iraq to send out a message to every other bad actor. Ukraine is different for Russia as it was a largely unprovoked invasion which could have been dealt with by other means. The longer this war goes on the more time the West has to stock the Ukraine military with cutting edge weapons at scale.
