I think you are getting confused with the pandemic shut down. The UK has its own oil and is energy independent so it has nothing to do with the EU. There is now a shortage of haulage drivers in Germany and France.

@rob New Zealand will get access to British Pharma, chemical processing, electronic engineering, advance mechanical engineering and one of the worlds best aerospace industries. There are lot of dumb people out there that cannot think for them self.

That is what trade deals do they allow new goods and services into a marketplace. Manuka honey for example has to be imported into the EU as a whole block then countries are allotted imports within the EU. WIth the trade deal we will see more New Zealand Honey and the other way those down under will see more products by the likes of JCB and British pharma.

The UK has done $1.2 trillion worth of trade deals since leaving the EU and this is only year one so far. Over the next several years the UK will do several more large trade deals that will amount 10 times what is current been done.

Current UK trade deals are about $1.2 trillion post brexit and they do take time to form but over the next 5 years there will be numerous deals doubling that $1.2 trillion. People claimed Britain would not be able to do trade deals post Brexit but they were wrong and are still wrong.

@jason88580 What do you mean not in UK favor. The UK just negotiated a deal that means that British Machinery, pharma, chemical processing, cars, buses, trucks, trains, aircraft, computers, software,clothing and much more can be traded to the New Zealand without the EU tax. At present UK machinery faces a 10% taxation that Japanese and Korean goods do no face when entering New Zealand. The initial trade deal is for about $2.5 billion and that will probably grow to about $10 billion over the next decade. Once links are established it normally grows trade and creates a new network.

@indogoUI UK has now signed $1.2 trillion worth of trade deals and will double that over the next 5 years and then double that again in 5 years. For the first time in almost 50 years the UK can now send its products to countries like New Zealand without the 10% European taxation that was previously set under common markets.

@UmbraWeiss The UK has a trade deal with the EU so it has lost nothing. And top of that the UK has now generated 20% extra trade. The UK has $1.2 of trade deals.

@sprinter1832 That would be the right thing to do as in to sack the management responsible. The issue the current UK conservative government has is that the media will make a war out of it. They will try and use it against the government and the departments and unions will also start large scale strikes throughout the UK and then blame the conservatives for it. Most people cannot see that as being the case.

I think the $1.2 trillion worth of trade deals that the UK has done will be great for the future. UK government are about to increase expenditure in the NHS of about 600 million per week. Is that what you are asking for?

Are you worried about woke politics. The vast majority of people in the UK do not believe in it and at some point people are going to get sick of it. There is only so much that people will take before they reject such politics. It happened in the 1970s and it got rejected back then.

@tomeyckmans9389 And the UK gets to sell Pharma and Machinery to the New Zeeland market. Also UK food products can be sold to New Zealand. New Zealand sells fruits that the UK cannot produce and the UK produces vast qualities of crops that New Zealand cannot produce. UK food chemical production such as ethanol can now be sold to New Zealand. The UK is also now free to sell specialized oil and gas products to New Zealand. Capitalism is amazing.

@perirgensolsson3673 The UK has now got about $1.2 trillion worth of trade deals in place. And you are incorrect that it needs a trade deal to sell products to a country. RIght now the US is the UK biggest trade partner. Over the next decade the UK will do $10 to $15 trillion worth of trade deals and it will grow british industry back to where it was pre EEC.
