  1. I am a classical liberal conservative in that I believe in life, liberty and estate. And not for one moment do I believe that elected officials and bureaucrats should have the power to decide who is a citizen and who is not. Even when the most horrible murderers are sentenced such as Shipman or Huntley are they stipped of their citizenship. Conservatives have now given the left a new weapon to attack those they do not agree with wait until the left and the media get their own version of the capital buildings riot to see what they are willing to do.

  3. And what if the girl is completely innocent and is just a political and media scapegoat? Do people really want the system to start stripping people of their citizenship. If she is a terrorists either needs to be takeout in the field or tried in a court of law. The precedent has been set on this now the left will use this tool in the future against all manner of people.

  8.  @ts757arse  The problem is she has not face prosecution nor has she even been arrested in the UK. I suspect the government did this out of weakness and not strength. They do not want the spectacle of a trial but in doing this have created a whole knew monster. When the left get back into power they will now use this against conservatives and claim they are far right. The idea of removing citizenship sounds great when it is somebody you do not like.

  11. Why not? She could be innocent and if she is not she needs to face prosecution. DO not be so quick on these issues the left will now be using this tactic against all manner of people for the basic rumour of something.
