Bill Christian The president can clearly work in his capacity in the executive. He also has a lawyer than can do the same. The Attorney general also has that power and can be directed by the president. There is nothing you can do about any of this. Calling names and claiming only the FBI can instigate an investigation is wrong on every level. The FBI has not investigative authority in other countries.

@jonolly8629 The FBI can work in any country it wants to but it still has no jurisdiction in those countries. The CIA is an intelligence group not law enforcement. Are you claiming that a US president cannot speak with the head of another country and make requests to that leader?

@cjmacq-vg8um Biden has admitted and I have seen the video that he got the prosecutor fired and he did that by threatening to withhold loans to the Ukraine. He even said that the leader of the Ukraine when informed that he would withhold funding that he had six hours to comply or the funding would be cut. He was even boasting about it. Maybe Joe did not realize that prosecutor was investigating his son but that does not matter. You cannot expect Trump not to use this. If the shoe was on the other foot democrats and the media would be trying to impeach Trump on it. Just as they are trying to impeach Trump for suggesting to the Ukrainian leader to open an investigation.

No he is not doing it illegally. A lawyer has the right to defend his or her client. That means building a profile in case. It can also mean gathering evidence if need be. How is any of that illegal?

Crimes? The president can life the phone at any moment and ask any world leader to do anything. It does not mean that world leader will do it but that is not the same as saying it is illegal.
