You think the chief of intelligence could stop the US infrastructure from getting hold of things. The US got information directly from the Russian military movements and communications. It is impossible to have 200,000 troops staged on a border for an invasion and for the US to not find out about it. There is something else behind him being publicly berated.

If you are living outside Ukraine going their to fight is not the best thing you can do. You can act as a contact for the region if you have those contacts.

@johnwoodham3263 Trump did not say that. What he was saying was Putin outmaneuvered the international community as they were not willing to deal with Putin early on. Remember them saying no invasion would take place and people just shrugged their shoulders.
