Trump and his administration used this crisis as an excuse to send a message to Assad and the Russians. There is now a clear line that cannot be cross or there will be action taken. Obama should have done this but did not. There are no easy decisions with Syria. What ever decision is made it will mean people getting hurt and it will mean being criticized. Obama lost a lot of respect with his red line.
