  1. Trying to blame America's purchasing power decline on Amazon, Walmart or whatever other trendy bash a business bandwagon you are on is just childish. In 1965 an American could have purchased a luxury Buick car that would have been on par with a mercedes for $15,000 in today's money just think about that for a few moments. Do you really believe that has anything to do with walmart or healthcare. You may not think that a car for $15,000 is important but it has not just happened with cars it has also happened with healthcare, education and many other things. In 1955 a years education at college could have been had for about $300 while the average yearly income at that stage would have been $3000 to $5000. Adjusted for inflation that $300 today should be $1300. And that would have been for a good college that was in demand.
