  1. Most of that generation will have a reality check at some point. If you are young and on the ball you will realize that you can run rings around them.

  2. Women can still have a career and family they just need to be realistic about what they can and cannot do. Many women over the years had a family and a career like Law, teaching, medicine, nursing and design. And god knows how many other options there are out there. The idea of a women being single and sleeping around in their 20s is not exactly a good pathway.

  4. The difference was that Boomers still had the ability to choose their life. Young people today have a lot less options. Finishing college at 25 with no career experience is not a good life choice.

  6. For many places in England it is just a train journey to London if you want to shop. Everywhere has bars, restaurants and so on.

  7.  @hariman7727  A profession such as nursing, medicine, law, accounting, teaching and so involve training for some years and then the individual has that profession. By a career you are talking about working within companies/government and working their way up through the chain that requires years of dedication and massive commitment. A young women who is 23 years of age and a school teach can easily start a family and take 5 or 6 years of a break and then return to teaching when her children are at school and have her hours match the children's exactly. An accountant could be doing work from home and doing 10 hours a week while the children are at school. There are so many options that women can take if they realistic. Trying to be senior management in an organization is not something they will be able to achieve with children. My wife was a doctor and was easily able to balance her profession and children with no real stress and still give lots of time for the children and be a homemaker.
