  1.  @cheesay22  By a Communist do you mean a Marxist. I will assume that is what the person declares themself as. Marxists will view all socialists as being not the real thing. So a workers socialist would not qualify under Marxism because they may not actually believe that everything should be owned by the common. You can have a workers socialist who believes that a person should still be allowed to buy a car from the marketplace. Karl Marx was very clear in the communist manifesto that people would be free to partake in the marketplace but there would be no market place under Marxism. They are some of the most hypocritical and contradictory philosophies that you can read.

  2. Best place to start is the Marxist Manifesto and Das Kapital. As that is the real formalization of socialism/communism.

  4. Labour are always going to have Marxists in their ranks and they are in constant battle. It was the Marxists who actually won out in the labour party in the 1970s and effectively left it so the labour party could not get elected for almost 20 years.
