Do not confuse work rate with actual intellect. Work rate is far more important than raw intellect for success in life. An average intelligence with a fantastic commitment to work is far more effective when it come to success.

@GideonStevens No it has more to do with the idea of equality which is at the heart of Marxist ideology. The idea is to enforce an equal position on peoples in society. This will do the most damage to young people from lower socioeconomic society and some of those students later on will realize that they were lied to and some will be very angry.

The key is to try and introduce the philosophy of hard work to students in a hope that some pick up on it. A c grade will become meaningless in the future to the point that those young people with those grades will be seen as below average.

China does not have a system of merit. It has a system that is a top down selective society. Only those with the correct level of connections will make it. India is a country that has a class system so merit only applies to those that are of a certain rank below that rank and it will not matter how good they are.

Even in the most planned managed system there will be people that game that system.

Even average and below average students will suffer. Some of them through hard work could increase their academic performance and learn new things.

If you did not send your children to school they would not get to experience the real world as children. They have to get to see how other children and people behave. Family is the most important metric for outcome.

People are acting like all of the woke stuff is American. It is not it is european and comes from Marxism. The US does not have a single health system, education system, police force and so on. The US has thousands of health systems, school systems and so on. Some will be good and some will be terrible. So for every crazy policy school district in the US their are other good successful districts.
