We are fast approaching a technological singularity.  This will be a time when human intelligence expands so fast and so rapidly that we today cannot understand such a concept.  As a metaphor it will be akin to a fish in a bowl not understanding the world out side that bowl.  We may all be ghosts in a shell of sorts. Have you read "The Singularity Is Near" it is one of the greatest pieces of science philosophy out there that addresses these issues.

StL33T Not if the legs are stilling getting exercise and their function has not been effected.  This will be a powerful tool for exercise especially for the elderly or aging people.  Impact injuries are too common among aging communities. This could also stop people who are running from getting shin splints.

  3. ***** These exoskeletons are similar to using a bicycle in that they can reduce impact on joints will still creating metabolic conditions that are desirable to people.  People for example who do distance running could use this device to reduce injury while performance is not impaired. Even fun runners could use this to do longer training sessions.  There will be people that abuse this type of technology but the majority will find it beneficial.
