What?
2
There will be new solutions for those issues in the long term. Right now the economy of those technologies is developing.
2
Petrol cars and oil as a whole is part of that future. We have to learn how to crawl before we can walk and then run. People seem to want to cut out the crawl and walk part first.

So when did he ever support Trump?

Hydrogen does not have the same energy density and it is also very complex to store and distribute. New graphene based materials might offer a solution in regards to that complexity.
1
@MCES LEX But your restrictions did not work and not all scientists agreed it would work. Musk thought they would not work and he turned out to be correct. Everywhere that had shut downs still had spreading infections.
1
How is that?
1
@oliwakulla3341 Tell me how do you exaggerate selling a million cars a year producing electric cars at a level nobody else is even close to. Tesla was founded in 2003 and 20 years later it is near the million car production level. And on top of that he has built a aerospace company from nothing that is now launching major contracts and trying to build a communications satellite array. Those things on their own are crazy especially if you claimed you were going to do all of that in the year 2010.
1
That does not make any sense.

When AI is at the level to completely replace humans in the workplace then humans will be using that AI to build spectacular things. We are a long way of that happening.
1
Smaller scale modern nuclear plants do not have the same plumbing problems. They can easily be cooled down. They also have the nuclear material stored inside super tough peebles that makes them extremely safe. And if there was a freak incident their danger would be very limited to the actual site and easy to clean up. So nuclear combined with natural gas, coal and renewables will create clean long lasting energy for at least 100 years.
1
Jealousy gets you nowhere.
1
What crap are you talking about?
1
There will be a solution to Mars lower gravity.
1
He is not saying that in 5 years time 100% of cars will be electric. Now if the politics would evolve the grid could easily be developed to handle that load in 10 years time.
1
US Birth rate is below replacement level. That means the population in the US starts to fall. And in that falling population there will come a moment when the vast majority of people will be extremely old and there will not be enough new young people to maintain the economy. Such a failed economy will not be good for the environment. What Musk is thinking about is engineering that will deal with most of the issues that exist today.
1
@norrisfromthenorth1258 There making fairies down there and they will grant you all you desire if you can only jump over the moon.
1
Communism failed and it will never come back again. You need to just deal with it and stop living in a fantasy. People have been harping on about capitalism for nearly 150 years and they have been wrong every single time. But let us guess you are correct this time.
1
Go and look at the video Flash Graphene. It may change your mind. All that plastic will be converted into carbon for production of products. In the not so distant future they will be out there trying to capture all that cheap plastic.
1
Musk is no turning the world fleet of cars in battery power vehicles. He is producing a product that people buy. If think your question about turning all cars in 10 years time electric needs to be aimed at government policy.
1
The technology that takes humans to Mars will be the same technology that solves the problems on the ground. One such development will be graphene industrial applications into materials science such as plastics, ceramics and steel. Graphene infused aluminum will probably be as strong as steel but much lighter. Graphene infused plastics will be more durable, heat resistant and much stronger. And guess what most of the graphene will be made out of waste plastics laying around out there.
1
What point are you trying to make?
1
He says he wants free speech.
1
And what if people have their own robots? What then?
1
So you do not believe there are SpaceX launches? Do not let anybody hear you saying that. Keep it inside your head.
1
@johanlarsen9887 Again are you claiming there are no SpaceX launches?
1
Not enough energy in that.
1
I think the moon is part of the plan but it is side project.
1
Musk has not built power. He has built a company that will help build the future. You want to look at too much power look at all the left wing parties, media and most of the institutions of the world. Elon does not even register at the 1% market in terms of power.
