Germany has the most heavily automated industrial system in the world. And yet it also employs lots and lots of people. Automation is an excuse that gets thrown around in arguments all of the time. Giving people more money does not mean you have created more wealth. All it will mean is that the price of products will increase to balance the effects of such a maneuver.

+Just wondering AI is doing many things but it will not all happen tomorrow and will take many years for such AI to grow into our industrial systems.

@esaw7067 Are you countering my claim that Germany industry has lots of automation because I did not hear you counter than claim.

@esaw7067 "unionization" is not the reason as to why there is high amounts of automation and lots of employment at the same time in Germany. German culture as a whole is built around efficiency and that means their industry tries to be the most efficient it can be. Automation combined with human labour means that small German companies can outperform even Chinese scale. Even for the most advanced industrial automation country in the world it still cannot automate everything. SO even if the US went the German route tomorrow it still could not automate everything. Most US jobs have simply just gone to Asia through outsourcing.

Liberal logic. Tax people who buy things and then give it back to the very people you tax and call it universal income.

@tee8030 How can taxing me more and then giving it back to me and calling it universal income going to stimulate the economy? What do you think I do not know how to spend my own money? What has worked in stimulating the economy is cutting taxes. It worked for Eisenhower, JFK, Reagan and even Clinton.
