  2. Steel produced in Germany, UK and America cannot compete with the state subsidized steel of China on price. Steel produced in China should face tariffs when entering both Europe and America and that has happened. Most of the US steel companies are profitable and they all have billions of cash on hand.

  5. There is nothing wrong with plastic. The issue is that governments have been promising recycling of plastics. What really happens is that plastic is sent to places like China who then take the plastic out on boats and dump it into the sea. There are industrial scale recycling industries that actively dump plastics into the sea.
