Sit in the shade. Sun light will still hit you. Do water sports were access to cool water will enable you to stay out longer. Sit in rooms were natural light enters but not strong direct sun light.

It has nothing to do with money.

@bobbyt9431 Sitting out for several hours in the shade while getting natural light will still generate vitamin d within your system. Doing that every day will generate vitamin do of a level that is sufficient. The idea that you have to sit in direct sunlight is not the only way to have light hit your skin. Natural daylight will generate vitamin d not as efficiently as direct sunlight but it will do it. So even during winter you can generate it especially if you are outside for several hour. Farmers as a group generally are not vitamin d deficient even during winter months.

@bobbyt9431 Direct sunlight is the most efficient means of vitamin D production. Indirect sunlight supplemented with direct sun light can produce the necessary levels so as to reduce sun exposure. So a person who lives in tropical conditions where there is lots of sunny weather can supplement their 15 to 30 minutes of direct sun with sitting in the shade. Even people who do not get direct light but are in the shade for long periods of time will have adequate vitamin D levels. Even Farmers who are out all year round in the natural light but stay indoors in summer time will produce good levels of vitamin D. The issue with those in the tropical regions having lower levels of vitamin d is due to them sitting indoors all day long. https://www.cancer.org/healthy/be-safe-in-sun/uv-protection.html https://www.skincancer.org/blog/healthy-skin-made-in-the-shade/ https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0960076005002220 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6069363/#B7-ijerph-15-01507 The idea that UVA and VBA being fully absorbed by the earth is beyond ridiculous and the most absurd thing I have ever heard. Why would you say such a thing?
