  12. It is not the European Parliament that actually legislates EU law. They can only recommend laws to the commission. They do not implement or legislate law. I think you need some old fashioned re-education. The NHS has collapsed because an extra 2 million people have been added to the system in the last few years. There have been several major incidents in the NHS because of over crowding.

  15. Suffragettes had nothing to do with voting rights. That was achieved through voting liberalization that happened over a 100 year period. It is more complex than the media makes it out to be.

  16. First of all they are not prisoners they are enemy combatants that are terrorists that are still considered active. They tended to be caught in the act of terrorism hence why they are lifted. The alternative which no body would really accept is that they get a bullet in the head in the field.

  17. It is still not torture. Him lasting 12 seconds would be a great outcome if terrorists caught in the field would flip as easily. Remember we are not talking about people alleged to have done things but people actually caught in the act. The alternative is that they would get a bullet in the head during fighting. I have been through water training and know that it is unpleasant but hardly torture.
