@direwulf6195 Adding a small amount of meat to your healthy diet of vegetables will not do you any harm. You by the way and not realize it are on a restricted diet like those that are on carnivore. You feel good but you are going for the short term gains.

@Potato Face I would suggest going to see a doctor that specializes in functional or Integrative medicine. You may be vegan and feel healthy but you may also be eating a high carbohydrate diet that will create problems down the line. Meat is probably not the source of your digestive problems.

It probably does not help. He is correct about eating too much meat though. A good diet would have vegetables and meat.

What about those leading perfectly healthy diets of meat and vegetables. Are they to be left out of veg vs meat?

Humans naturally ate meat but they also ate lots of veg and fruits when they could but during winter months meat was the primary food source. People that eat pure carnivore diets have a tendency to over focus on meat.

@howiseetheworld3581 Fruits for the vast majority of humans were not all year round. A lot of humans did not have access to fruit as you are claiming. Even Australia has a winter and a summer.

@howiseetheworld3581 You live in Australia in the modern world were foods can be cultivated using technology but that is not the same for hunter gatherers who would eat a variety of foods with many not be available in the winter months. During the winter months there was more meat and fish consumed with small amounts of winter vegetation. Northern Australia is a tropic region but that is not the case for the south of Australia which does have a more significantly colder winter period.

@howiseetheworld3581 Ok just to see if your logic holds up with your humans in the modern world. Are you saying because humans are modern with their own world that things like heroine or tobacco are harmless. Considering we are not hunter gathers' and all that.

Mediterranean diet eats lots of fish, vegetables and various meat. One thing they have in common with the Japanese and Icelandic diet is their consumption of fish and less carbohydrates. It is not that they eat no carbohydrates they just eat a lower quantity than general western diets. In the mediterranean diet they consume lots of lemons, olive oil and fish.

Wales also eat squid, seals and fish.

@Gabriel Blas If you want improve your health then do some research on diet. I would suggest adding in frozen veg they are a lot cheaper because they last a lot longer but still retain high amounts of nutrients. You can actually add frozen veg to smoothies that contain nut butter or a small handful of fruit. Tinned fish such as mackerel or sardines are processed and cheap but they are still very healthy to eat. Both Bacon and sausages are cheap processed meats but are still healthy. Drink green tea instead of coffee and it is cheap as well. There are lots of things you can do that are cheap. A small amount of rice every now and then will not do you have harm either. So let me summarize tinned fish, frozen veg, plain peanut butter, small amounts of fruit including raspberries, small amounts of rice. Buy what you can afford and do research into high carb foods and low carb foods.

You just do not want to eat too many peaches. Free vegetables should be the foundation of most diets. And then you can eat some fruit, meat and fish if you desire but not too much.
