Everybody is talking about Apples M chips without understand that they are using an overall architecture of software, operating systems and new chip architecture to provide performance.

We are nowhere near the limits of transistors as many people seem to think. So architecture combined with transistor scaling will keep chip computational power growth going for a long time. There is a lot of room at the bottom and top not being used.

@stephenrobinson1944 The actual transistor is not the limiting factor it is the architecture around that transistor that takes up the most space and is the most complex to fabricate. It is architecture innovations that will keep allowing more transistors to be squeezed into an area. People have been confusing transistor size with the number that can be put on chip because they assume it is a highly efficient structure. People have been confused by marketing.
