  1. The modern two engine craft can fly quite easily on a single engine. There would be nothing stopping them from flying the whole distance on a single engine if need be. Now that would not work for the jumbo jet style aircraft out there but it most certainly will work for the majority of fleet sized commercial jets. Those modern single engines are ridiculously powerful but also incredibly resilient.

  2. The 380 is perfect for long haul high volume traffic such as flying from London to sydney. The 747 was always used for that journey.

  3. If people want cheap flights that is exactly what they are going to get. If they want first class there is a simple answer pay more money.
