developing under water would be far more complex and would hold life forms back in their evolution. The reasons why human brains evolved was gravity, biochemistry, atmosphere, radiation and so on.

@alanwatts8239 I am right because I just stated there is nothing terrifying about it. Are you really going to claim you and Arthur C. Clarke can be terrified on behalf of other people? Come on think before you speak.

There is nothing terrifying about being alone in the universe.

Everything you have stated has some sort of reality of physics even though they are proposals that may not be possible to engineer. What those pilots encountered was outside the realms of physics.

@cocomelody321 Great filter? How about very complicated set of circumstance have to arise for life to flourish. Such has correct gravity, radiation levels, atmosphere, chemistry, oceans, moon to create gravity effect for tidal forces, other larger bodies in system to absorb large impact asteroids and so on. Having all of these line up perfectly could create orders of complexity in the trillions. The universe is 13.7*10^9 years old. So maybe we are the height of intelligence and it would require another thousand orders of magnitude of time to come to that outcome.

@stefansauvageonWhaATwist1369 I just do not see it being negative stating we maybe alone in the universe and it is not terrifying. I find it hopeful that mankind through all its troubles is still moving forward and may someday go to the stars.

He is a terrible analyst. He is way out of his depth on topics he knows nothing about. He is one of those classic cases of smart academic who thinks they can have their noses in everything.

I seen a UFO and it shocked me. These sightings are far more common than people realize. Nobody knows what they are and that includes governments.
2
The problem is obtaining footage of the objects. Most people do not realize that it requires specialized equipment to capture such footage. America is the wealthiest country in the world with the highest standards of living with a population of 330 million people. America is the most likely place that such footage and evidence would arise from.

@cocomelody321 What makes you think there are other civilizations out there.
1
@alanwatts8239 There is nothing terrifying really about being alone. Unless you want to go out of your way and be terrified.
1
@i5879 Tell me do you feel terrified by flowers?
1
@i5879 It is a simple question are flowers terrifying? Do think so or not.
1
@jeffreyfiegen1538 All I said was it was not terrifying. And the response I got was "I wonder who's right, one of the most decorated science fiction authors of all time, or "bighand69"" And the statement has never been qualified. How is it terrifying that we may be alone in the universe? Terrifying is hanging of a bridge by your fingernails. If we are alone can we not just carrying on or are we terrified and must stop. Did you really lose faith in humanity due to a few exchanges?
1
@stefansauvageonWhaATwist1369 So you agree that a few exchanges on youtube comments warrants losing faith in humanity. I could understand mass genocide creating a loss of faith in humanity but hardly a few simple comments. As stated by you "devolved into people creating discourse for no apparent reason other than to spread toxicity and be preachy" Is that not just a little bit extreme?
1
@c.g.5580 You can try and make it exciting if you want. Now my opinion is that the fact we maybe alone is not frightening but nobody seems to agree and they have gone about disagreeing in long winded complex ways instead of just stating they do not agree. We are being polite are we not?
1
@yonatanbeer3475 So you sit their terrified that humans maybe alone in the universe? How do you even get out of bed?
1
@Lelfay You are afraid of me? You must never go out your front door with fear being your primary function. My advice is get out and enjoy the world.
1
@LordVader1094 Tell me what are these implications?
1
@katoshiku7367 " theory supported by countless scientists" Theory without proof is conjecture.
1
@katoshiku7367 Theory without proof is just imagination.
1
@alanwatts8239 You are talking about proofs and not just theories. So you agree with me.
1
The most likely cause of the government going to such lengths to hide UFO has more to do with the fact they are as clueless as we are.
1
@aragos32727 US has the most amount of footage.

If they did own the technology they would more than likely not be so cavalier in exposing its existence. If such technology existed we would not be aware of it due to its flight dynamics.
1
You can actually see the second object near the water moving in relation to the water. Bird cannot move that fast nor would a tracker image system have that much of an issue locking onto a slow moving bird those systems are designed to track objects moving much faster. That system is working overtime to keep that object tracked.
1
If they did lie they would be committing various offences. They would not be lying about the size of their manhood they would be lying about active service reports. Such things of a high profile nature would get clamped down on very quickly. The pentagon would not have allowed such a high profile scam to run for so long without a response. And then for the pentagon to officially release the information does not counter their claims.
1
The key word here is sustained flight speed. That object was moving extremely fast compared to the ocean below. If the bird was at the claimed height it simply could not move that quickly compared to the ocean.
1
It is highly unlikely that a crude idea of Alcubierre warp drives are being used. If those videos and claims are real it would be something much more complex.
1
What you are implying is that every military system is simultaneously flawed and that the pilots actually eye balled the craft at the exact same moment as the flaws. And then there is a whole body of sightings in the non military world. Do you want the real scandal these objects are real and governments of the world have no clue as to what they are.
1
@cloud_and_proud Radar while impressive can be argued away as systems failure. Having several independent systems and then human observers as witness makes it a more probable outcome. Now in saying all of this none of it makes me an instant believer and I have yet to be convinced.

Real men in the field say real men things. So some of you need to grow up to be real men.

@DanaBlackCEO They happen all over the world but the US is the best place to document it due to the large scale media and wealthy population. There are state and city media groups in the US that are bigger than national media in Russia.
