  1. They have a lot of if and and buts. The problem is there are many things they could have done but did not. They could have built a Gotham franchise from the Nolan movies but decided not to. They could have built out a fresh new Gotham universe but did not. The could have just done a series of movies on their own because Batman, Superman and Wonder women are already known characters that did not need some joined up franchise. The reason why Marvel did Avengers was because their characters were unknown.

  6. Tim Burton made two over rated camp Batman movies. Hardly a shining light.

  7.  @AdamEX1  They were average and embarrassing. That scene with the army of penguins was cringe. It was really a kids movie and it did a good job of that. Now because it was average for the era it looks like a masterpiece compared to movies today. The Batman 1989 movie had some stunning sets and the Gotham feeling was the closest to the comic books but the characters were pathetic and Batman simply did not match the comics. A kid in 1989 would have loved the Batman movie.

  9. If DC had half a brain they would have built up their Batman/gotham universe. Instead they went and did the clueless thing that was rushed and stank of corporate pensioners in charge.

  11. His films are dark and nihilistic. He may have been more suited to doing a Batman movie with one condition Batman does not kill. It would have been a winner in that genre but that is not what they did. Superman was not a good fit for him.

  12.  @julianseguin2748  Nihilism in the context of philosophy is the rejection of philosophy. It can involve the deconstruction of the human experience. In the context I stipulated it was to imply darkness which is the more intended use of the word in everyday life. I would have considered that you would have at least understood that.
