Obi-Wan Kenobi is the same as is Boba Fett. They have ruined the key characters but let us be honest those new movies are not real Star Wars movies. They are plastic cheap knockoff copies.

@Adwig25 W Then why would you complain about him ranting about SJW when he does not do that most of the time. His issue is with poor standards in movies such as the writers have no real world experience and coming straight out of college.

@LaBarata12 I am not sure what age you are but if you are a young person who realizes what the world is you will run rings around young people today. Never in a single age has machiavellian philosophy been so potent and important. The main cultural force today has labelled Machiavelli ideology as evil or sinister when it was just a blueprint for a chaotic period during the Renaissance. Person has to train their mind to be assertive and like all training it works best when it is repeated daily as a form of training. I would suggest reading Marcus Aurelius Meditations as a starting point and Machiavelli. This is not the firs era of weak men and it will not be the last.

The characters also speak like they have ADHD and just ramble out piles of nonsense for no other reason than some cheap bit of humour. When they made Dredd in 2012 it was a brooding tough character and if they made it in 2023 he would be a weak troubled character and he would be the sidekick to some strong female character that is always angry.

You would be better moving into the movie business and trying to team up with like minded producers and directors. Start with lower budget movies but make the projects character and story driven. People are crying out for this type of productions.

Those characters were more comedy and people understood that they were not real but if they were it was how you would imagine them. Similar to a superhero with powers.

@tankwfw 90s sitcoms were aimed at trendy apartment living adults not children. They appealed to the grown up fantasy of independence that was abound in the 1990s. Friends was one of the biggest and was very popular among college students. And the key draw for the male audience was the beautiful women. For women the draw was the glamourous women in the sitcom. Those shows were more about entertainment just as shows were before that. People of that era knew they were entertainment just as they could watch a 1960s Rom Com and know it was not a reality.

You can still find good movies and good tv shows but you really have to search for them.

@Peglegkickboxer The books or comics are not canon. The original six movies are canon. Their approach was simple either have George Lucas produce the latest three movies or if he was not available to do that just do three complete new movies that could be a thousand years earlier or later.
