I suspect that republicans have seen something that they know is going to be devastating. Think about it the most vocal republicans have all of a sudden calmed down. I suspect they have seen something the democrats have done. It is also my suspicion that Sessions has also seen something as well. It makes no sense that some republicans would go very soft unless they have an ace up their sleeves that the public has not yet seen. Something is building. It has only just come out this week that certain members within the FBI were trying to conclude with Mueller. If they were willing to do this it means they probably have done something else.
