  1. +GeorgeJones There may not actually be a chance in 2020. If Trump wins re-election there is a strong chance that he may try and since the Chinese economy by targeting Chinese export industries. If China wants to wait post 2020 that maybe their loss. China has far more to lose in all of this.

  2.  You Know  US Farmers by and large supply the US food Chain. Only a fraction of their trade is going to China. Some farmers who have over invested in the Chinese export market will suffer. But do not use the term US farmers to describe all of the farming industry.

  4. It might mean that US businesses can at last compete on prices. Current trade deals aid the chinese manufacturing industry and discriminates against US industry.

  6.  Itzahk Pearlman  There may not actually be a deal for China in 2020 if they do not take the current deal. Trump may decide to make an example of China and there are many democrats who also want the same thing to happen.

  9. There is actually a sizeable amount of democrats who agree with most of these deals believe it or not. There only needs to be 20 or 30 who will vote with the issue. In the congress these issues are not really considered to be a Trump issue. Many democrats have actually been pushing for this as well. It is just a pity that the party does not push the same way though.
