  1. It is not possible at present to create all of the energy needs via solar/wind. There is simply not enough copper in reserve to enable that. An attempt to do this would drive copper prices through the roof and in turn make our technology very expensive. Modern coal plants can help us to reduce the amount of carbon by about 90% by allowing a large number of electric cars/buses/trucks. Combine this with natural gas and US energy costs could be cut in half.

  4. Coal is a vital party of energy production. Modern Plants are very clean and what you see coming from the stacks is most water vapour. There absolutely no carbon solid particles being emitted. There is a very small amount of gaseous carbon molecular structures. Clean coal plants could help the US to get to proper renewables in the future and may fusion as well.
